The 993 Carrera 4S was sold between 1996 to 1998. Much like the 993 Carrera S, the
993 Carrera 4S takes the 993 Carrera 4 powertrain and fits it into the widebody 993
Turbo shell, sporting 18" alloy wheels. As with the Carrera 4, it was only available with a 6-speed manual transmission. Approximately 7,000 coupes were made. The 4S did not have a cabriolet version. A small number of 993 Carrera 4S were equipped with the Aerokit option (Option Y01 for Aerokit I and Y02 for the more aggressive Aerokit II) or with the Turbo S air inlets in the rear quarter panels (Option X79), making those samples particularly appealing today.
